Sponsor the NGO TPM for 1 year, including:
After the initial sponsorship by GnarsDAO in 2022 through the proposal "Sponsor children from TPM NGO to surf," TPM was able to maintain it's activities and introduce the world of Gnars and Nouns to the children through stickers and artistic activities like coloring and creating Noggles. A special Gnars t-shirt designed by Ilustradora became so popular among the children that they continue to wear it today.
Additionally, numerous media pieces were created and continue to be produced by TPM, promoting the image of GnarsDAO.
However, since then, TPM has struggled to pay rent and had to relocate. The impact of the NGO on the community is substantial, and now Gnars has the opportunity again to be part of this project by covering its rent and sponsoring promising gnarly surfers.
After one year without sponsorship, we propose to sponsor the NGO TPM for another year to continue its activities and projects. This includes covering one year of rent to support approximately 80-100 children and 100-120 women, and sponsoring 7 athletes to compete in regional and national surf championships. Among these athletes, 5 are under 18, and 2 are professional surfers who frequently make it to the podium, showcasing GnarsDAO from the top!
In our initial proposal, we started a digital education program focused on web3, which had to be paused due to a lack of computers. In this proposal, we include the purchase of 3 computers to restart digital literacy for participants, eventually introducing web3 topics to empower them to leverage this innovation for their growth and development.
For the 2 PRO surfers, we will onboard them to GnarsDAO, leveraging the return of “That’s Gnarly” to integrate them into the community and provide an additional income source and return to the DAO.
Throughout the process, we will document activities and produce numerous videos and photos of the projects. These will be posted on That’s Gnarly and TPM and Gnars social media (Instagram and Warpcast). Additionally, we will hire Virei Notícia to promote the project, GnarsDAO, and the children’s competition results across major media outlets in Brazil and within the web3 community.
According to Proposal 382, the focus of the community is to fund projects that bring nounish public goods to society. The Nouns DAO has supported impactful initiatives since its inception. This proposal aims to onboard athletes who can serve as bridges to these children and use Gnars' social media to reciprocate the sponsorship, creating an additional income stream.
A one-year sponsorship allows careful onboarding and effective results, giving time to create quality content that can generate income for GnarsDAO through NFTs on Zora and/or That’s Gnarly. The press service, alongside the creation of t-shirts, caps, flags, and stickers, will ensure extensive media coverage of Gnars from the top of the podiums, as our athletes frequently place highly.
Finally, GnarsDAO will be investing in future promising athletes. These children will never forget who their first sponsors were.
NGO TPM:
TPM is a feminist and anti-racist organization aiming to be a socio-educational institution serving the Maracaípe Bay community in Pernambuco. Since 2016, it has contributed to the personal and social development of children, adolescents, and women. TPM - All to the Sea promotes social transformation and empowerment of black women and their children through surfing and socio-educational and cultural practices.
TPM directly and indirectly contributes to universal access for children, adolescents, and women to qualified sports, education, culture, and complementary professional training practices.
Community Context:
Maracaípe, known for its waves and surf competitions, faces extreme social inequality despite its booming real estate development. TPM's impact includes participation in regional surf championships, leadership courses, and social organization training, providing transformative experiences in culture and sports.

5 under 18 and 2 PROs. All of them are going to get a Gnarly merch Kit with 1 Gnar, stickers, 1 tshirt, 1 cap and 1 lo-fi noggles to make the podium gnarly dressed.

Mari: Gnars Athlete, GnarsDAO Board Member and Discord Admin, CC0 Noggles Designer (DCS Precious Noggles and LilSisters First 3D Print CC0 Noggles file), Nounified TPM, Surfguru partner, managed Surfguru first educational campaign and GnarsDAO Onboarding Content, SurfguruDAO co-founder, and represented GnarsDAO at NFT Brasil. Mari is still an active community member making spontaneus surf and paraglide content for GnarsDAO. For the whole year, Mari will manage the entire project, ensuring all deliverables are met, overseeing onboardings, and keeping the community updated on progress and results.
