Aloha guys, I am Luiz Hadad, Brazilian, 34 years old, surfing since I was a little kid and have been a Gnars surfer since September 2022.
I've been in the blockchain space since 2017, working as a community builder in different projects, such as Muda Outras Economias and SurfHive. I also participate as a researcher at Sherlock Communications PR company, and as an advisor at Kanna and Play4Change.
During these past years, I've been trying my best to represent Gnars in and out of the water, as a surfer and community member.

When I became full-time in crypto, I was able to have flexible working hours and dedicate myself to my biggest passion: spending time in the ocean surfing barrels and chasing big swells.
I am a partner at Surfguru, Brazil's biggest online surfing community and forecast website, with 300k unique users and 2.5M visits per month.
In 2022 we launched SurfHive, a community inspired by SkateHive, with the goal of bringing more surfers onchain. We have 99 surfers from all over the world producing content regularly there.
I've had a couple of proposals approved at Gnars. Two surfing sponsorships, one travel grant to Indonesia, and two proposals to create educational content through Surfguru. Surfguru currently has an active proposal to produce educational and onboarding content. I am collaborating on it, with @crisciacm and @marinioac.
To bring transparency and accountability, I started writing sponsorship reports. You can check my first one from the 6-month term, from December 2022 until June 2023. And the second one, with highlights and learnings from my last sponsorship term, from December 2023 until June 2024.
Last year I approved a travel grant to Indonesia. The main deliverable from the Travel Grant proposal is the IndoGNARS movie. Content is available on YouTube and you can mint it on Zora. 100% of the funds go to the Gnars treasury.

I produced heaps of social media content while recording IndoGNARS, most of it posted on Instagram, X, and SurfHive.

I will use my partnership with the Sherlock Communications PR agency to promote the content to reach a broader audience, just like we did with IndoGNARS.
PR promotion will happen for the IndoGNARS 2 movie launch, VLOG Episodes, and movie premiere. We will have distribution channels that can raise awareness for the content created and ultimately for Gnars.
Our releases are being sent to media partners like Surfguru, Folha Vitória, A Gazeta, O Globo, Infomoney, Portal do Bitcoin, Be in Crypto, Cointelegraph Brazil, Criptotendencias, The Defiant, and BlockNews.
An example of good PR work is the news of a 4m wave in Baía de Vitória, Espírito Santo - This wave got heaps of media coverage because it was in epic conditions and had good timing on the press releases.
We edited a video of this session in the NXF Slab Vlog, which now has 4k views in 1 month, and highlights Gnars everywhere!
When the movie is ready, we will do a Movie Premiere in Espírito Santo, either in Brizz Bar or Aloha Restaurant, for at least 50 people
The 1k will be invested as follows:

I've participated in a couple of events and podcasts during the past 6 months, mostly in Brazil and Latin America. My plan is to keep participating in them, but this time in Asia, while on the Surftrip.
I've applied to speak at the Coinfest Asia 2024, in Bali (22nd and 23rd of August 2024). Hopefully, I'll be selected and we'll be able to represent Gnars in the Conference as a speaker.
I also connected with Yoddah.eth this week. We will get together and explore ways to nounify Bali during August and September!
