This is a community-driven initiative \m/

Skateboarding has always had bounties. The difference is that they were informal. Someone calls out a challenge, a skater steps up, the trick gets landed, and the footage speaks for itself. Gnars Bounties brings that same spirit into an open, onchain program run by Gnars DAO in partnership with POIDH . The goal is to turn community energy into action: more tricks filmed, more ideas shipped, more art created, and more tools built for the Gnars and Nouns ecosystems. No grant form, no waiting. Pick a challenge, make it happen, show the proof, and get paid onchain in USDC after team approval.
Running from October 2026 to March 2027, the program features 30 bounties across skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, art, code, media and community. Challenges range from landing a stylish ollie or catching a clean wave to creating original artwork, contributing code, producing educational material or building something useful for the ecosystem. Each bounty comes with a defined objective, reward, deadline and proof requirements. The idea isn't to turn everything into a competition, it's to give people a direct reason to participate, contribute their skills and make things happen. Whether you're a skater with a camera, an artist with a blank canvas or a builder with an idea, there's a line to take.
We're kicking things off with two bounties that represent both sides of the Gnars movement: building in tech and pushing it on the board. The first is the Gnars x Nouns Mini App, a Gnarly Master bounty challenging developers and creators to build and ship an original open-source mini app, tool or protocol that expands the Gnars ecosystem and connects it with Nouns. It could be an onchain trick log, a Noggles generator, a skate-spot map or something completely new. The deliverables are concrete: a public GitHub repository with an open-source license, a working live demo, a README explaining the project and how it benefits Gnars/Nouns, and a demo video of two minutes or less. The bounty starts at 40 USDC, and submissions close November 4.

Stylish Ollie - LiL GnarLy
On the other side, we have Stylish Ollie and a Lil' Gnarly skate bounty worth 5 USDC, open through October 21. No code, no complicated setup. Just an original, stylish ollie, landed clean and captured on video. It's a challenge built around one of skateboarding's foundations: approach with control, pop with intent, catch the board and roll away. The clip is your proof. Keep it clean, keep it safe, and don't put yourself or anyone else at risk just to get the shot. From the simplest trick to the most ambitious build, the point is to get out there and make something real.
Every bounty has its own instructions, reward and submission requirements. Participants choose an open challenge, complete the objective and upload their proof through the Gnars Bounties platform. Each person can claim a given bounty only once. All submissions must be original, newly created specifically for the bounty, and include the participant's handle or wallet address. The Gnars team reviews submissions and makes the final approval decision before payment. Proof matters: skate challenges require footage that clearly shows the trick landed, while builder challenges require the specified code repository, demo and documentation. Make sure to read the requirements for each bounty before submitting.

This is a community-driven initiative, and the program is designed to keep moving. Every week, new bounties and updates will be announced through the Gnars Discord server and official social channels, alongside reminders about open challenges, submissions and community highlights. This weekly rhythm is about more than distributing rewards: it's a way to bring skaters, surfers, artists and developers into the same orbit, give contributors a clear path to participate, and build a stronger foundation for the long-term development of the Gnars ecosystem. The challenges will evolve across different disciplines, creating more opportunities for people to contribute in their own way.
Gnars has always been about action, creativity and doing things differently. Bounties give that energy a practical framework: clear challenges, verifiable proof and rewards paid onchain. Whether you're landing a trick in the streets or shipping an open-source tool that connects two communities, your contribution can help push the ecosystem forward. No need to wait for permission to get creative. Find a bounty, pick your line and bring the proof.
